6th Airborne division

The 6th Airborne Division is a realism unit currently based in ArmA 2, as a realism unit we strive to play ArmA 2 in a realistic fashion using British military tactics and equipment to try and simulate modern British forces. The 6th Airborne bases it’s self on the modern British parachute regiments, it’s name sake coming from a parachute division from World War Two.

As a British realism unit the 6th uses modern British Army equipment and tries to keep up-to date using third part modifications in conjuncture with larger realism modifications such as Advanced Combat Environment (ACE) and Advanced Combat Radio Environment (ACRE). We have a concrete rank system based on a hybridisation of NATO and British ranks; the rank structure ensures chain of command and realistic leadership responsibilities.

The 6th have two operations or trainings a week on Wednesdays and Sundays but we also strive to host games on a day-by-day basis, we also encourage a friendly atmosphere and community within our forums and TeamSpeak server where we hope people can have fun gaming together.

To join the 6th Airborne you must . . .

Be mature, responsible and dedicated.
Over the age of 16
Have a working microphone
Be able to attend both Wednesday and Sunday trainings at 19:00Z
Own a copy of ArmA 2: Combined Operations (ArmA 2 and ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead). It is also highly suggested that you buy the British DLC as the equipment is used a lot.
